ABOUT ME
Morgan Wilson is a classically trained traditional painter specializing in pop-surreal erotic art. A Florida native, she attended Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and Flagler College. Her lifelong obsession with alternative culture has led her into many creative disciplines and blind alleys in the eternal pursuit of artistic growth and expression.
‘My work has always leaned into the taboo. The aspects of human experience that we suppress are often hiding just below the skin; A little pressure can break that surface tension. My mission as an artist is to search those hidden places and burst them open. To improve my proficiency and comprehension is not just vanity, but fortification against reproach. If art is meant to stir the deep internal parts of us, then all art is erotic and I intend to provoke.’
While she travels all over the country to exhibit her artwork, her most recent re-spawn brought her back to Orlando, Fl where many locals have come to know her as a full-time self-employed human dynamo, single mother, and wisp of smoke.

Frequent Gallery Contributions
+Ex Votos, The Falcon Gallery, Orlando, FL 2017+
In many Catholic churches, ex votos are devotional paintings of miracles either wished for or performed. In response to my frustration with being unfairly labeled a pin-up artist, I spent a year painting small monochromatic face portraits and exhibited the full spectrum. There are 11 Ex Votos in the series to date.
+MYTHIC, Hourglass Brewery, Longwood, FL 2016+
A solo show featuring pieces made while in and inspired by my travels to Japan. Monsters take the form that terrifies us most–will you meet yours on a Mythic journey?
